By using attenuation ponds Farm Herefordshire partner, The Wye & Usk foundation, have helped farmer Joe Orgee of Much Cowarne to improve water quality on his poultry farm.

By installing a series of 11 wetland pools, they’ve managed to slow down water, reduce soil loss and trap nutrients from field run off. Resulting in a 53% reduction in in total phosphorus levels in nearby brooks.
